Are you a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Rehabilitation Coach with an interest in community rehabilitation, wishing to develop your clinical skillset as part of a nationally recognised rehabilitation organisation?
ABI Rehabilitation NZ Ltd is a leader in the field of brain injury rehabilitation in NZ and an accredited provider of community-based rehabilitation for a range of ages. We are looking for looking for someone with neuro-rehab experience, or an interest in concussion, traumatic brain injury, community rehabilitation and a desire to develop their skills and work in this area.
The successful applicant will be working alongside clients and their whānau/family to provide community-based rehabilitation as part of our skilled IDT and under the supervision of our community keyworkers. We are a small team who have a great reputation in the Northland region for our knowledge, professionalism and commitment to our kiritaki. We provide rehabilitation across a range of ACC and private contracts including concussion, training for independence, vocational and assessment services.

Applicants should have:
- It would be desirable for applicants to have postgraduate experience (allied health); however, we will consider applicants with 1-2 years’ experience with the right skill mix.
- NZ registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Current, clean driver’s license
- Previous experience in neurorehabilitation, community work and experience in paediatrics desirable but not essential
- Strong communication skills and can work collaboratively with clients, their whānau and the interdisciplinary team to deliver client-centered rehabilitation.
- Commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
