About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Physiotherapist with an interest in brain injury, neurological rehabilitation, concussion, and community-based rehabilitation to join our progressive rehabilitation team.
You will work alongside Occupational and Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Speech Language Therapists, Rehabilitation Coaches, Clinical exercise physiologists and Medical Specialists to deliver person-centered rehabilitation programmes that support clients to achieve their goals at home, work, school, and within their communities.
A comprehensive orientation program alongside ongoing on the job training, and clinical coaching will be provided from our skilled and supportive team. We are committed to evidence-based practice, ongoing support and training, and provide opportunities for contribution to service development including development of NZ practice guidelines.
About Us
We are a leader in the field of brain injury and community services rehabilitation as well as an accredited provider of post-acute, residential, and community-based rehabilitation for clients with multi-trauma, concussion, traumatic brain injury. There are opportunities to work across a range of ages and injury types.
We link with our TBI inpatient facility based in Auckland to provide seamless transition for clients returning to living and working in the community. We see our clients at home, workplace, school, and clinic-based settings. We have a strong client and family/whānau focus.
We have a strong client and whānau/family focus and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi through the implementation of Te Hekenga-ā-ora (ABI’s Māori Development Plan 2022-2025), to ensure equitable outcomes.
Your keys to success:
- Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a current APC
- A passion for rehabilitation and helping people maximise independence
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- An interest in neurological rehabilitation, concussion, or community-based practice and functional rehabilitation with a willingness to learn and grow.
