ABI Rehabilitation is a busy residential health service in West Auckland that is committed to making a difference in the lives of our clients who suffer from brain injury.  ABI takes a client-centred approach to the care of our clients and promotes a clean and healthy environment.

We currently have full-time position available for a Household Assistant/Cleaner.  This is a ‘hands-on' role requiring the highest cleaning standards.

You will:

• Deliver cleaning services of all facilities on site such as bathrooms, bedrooms, living and dining areas and staff spaces at our West Auckland services
• Work with pace and complete cleaning tasks at a high standard
• Working with a customer service focus and pride in the work you deliver
• Show initiative to work autonomously and with little supervision
• Show compassion towards disabled clients and their whānau

The successful applicants will have:

• Previous experience in a commercial cleaning role
• Sound knowledge of infection control and health and safety practices
• Full, clean driver's license
• A 'can-do' attitude
• A mature and positive outlook
• Commitment to professionalism
• Excellent command of English, both oral and written
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A willingness to learn new skills
• Flexibility

Applicants must possess the right to work in New Zealand and a willingness to undergo police vetting and additional checks in order to be considered for this position.

Pay range: Household Pay Rates $24.98 - $26.00
